I dont want anything plain and ordinary but I also dont want to have had a degree from Johnson and Wales either.
Don't blame ya. I've actually been cheating up til now, store bought pies and cookies for Thanksgiving. They have, in the fake cookie and biscuit section, these tray things by Pillsbury you microwave. The turtle one is Awesome! *drools* I thought it would suck, but it was sooo good.
Did you ever try my brownie recipe I posted? I didn't make that one up but It's my brownie recipe now! I can't wait to try these cookies too! What's Parking Lot cookies?
Parking Lot Cookies

From the kitchen of Melody Lawson

1 cup shortening
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla (it's okay to spill a little bit)
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups oatmeal
2 cups rice crispies
1 cup pecans
1 cup chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix both sugars well, removing all lumps. Add shortening, baking soda, baking powder, vanilla, and beaten eggs. Mix well. Mix in flour (it’s starting to get thick). Mix in pecans and chocolate chips (getting thicker). Mix in oatmeal (very thick). Mix in rice crispies (use your hands, it's too thick for a spoon). Roll up into teaspoon sized balls and smash with fork. Place on bottom rack in oven. Move to top rack when bottoms of cookies start to brown. Remove before burning.
Rofl1 Those sound like fun... except the rice crispies part *gags* I tried the brownies. So good, almost stopped my heart. I luff food Icon_lol
