for my Grandma.... They admitted her to ICU today with Pneumonia.. What I didnt know is she hasnt been able to walk for the last few days.. Her feet hurt so bad she wasnt getting up very much... With diabetes and heart problems that isnt good.. She wasnt taking her fluid pill which has caused the pneumonia...... Even though my mom is a nurse you dont make my Granny do what she doesnt want to do... She is so stubborn... I talked to her on Sat and she sounded good and said she felt good, so she went and got her hair done and had a good day, but Sunday was a different story... Mom said on Saturday she really did feel good and thought the pain was over... So now I am waiting to go and see her tomorrow because she was sleeping with the help of morphine for the pain tonight...
Im just so scared Im pretty sure she will be fine, but I cant help but think the worst......

On top of it all and some will think I am crazy.. Im scared to take Lucy to be spayed tomorrow... Normally I wouldnt worry about it, but she is so tiny (3lbs) and I am just worried something bad will happen.... Since I dont have kids, She is my baby and I am very attached to her........

I hope that your Grandma recovers quickly, sounds like she went too long without getting medical treatment for her ailments.

As for Lucy, she'll be fine! They do that sort of thing all the time and I'm sure she'll pull through with flying colors.

Oh Mandy...I'll be thinking of you and your grandma. I'm sending hugs your way...Whenever you can get away to go see her, do it! It's the only advice I have to give...It's the one thing that I hold on to about my grandmother, that I went to see her as much as I did...Lots of love and hugs coming your way!

Thanks everyone!!!! I talked to my mom a bit ago and Grandma is doing ok.. She is resting and mom said she looked so much better.. I am going to go and see her tonight.. Mom said the Dr. was probably going to keep her two or three days so she can rest and they can get all the fluid off her lungs... So.. The news is good which makes me so happy!!! You guys are great!!!!!

I smiled when I read this update. I'm glad things are looking up! You're still in my thoughts lil missy! And lil Lucy will do just fine! I'll be looking for more updates...

Well I talked to Mom this afternoon... The chest Xray showed that the pneumonia isnt much better so they have increased her fluid meds and the Dr thinks it will improve greatly now.. The Dr. still doesnt know what is going on with her feet so that is a major concern.. Mom doesnt know for sure but figures she will be in the hospital at least till the end of the week and maybe through the weekend... So we are just waiting and she is resting which is a big part of what she needs..
