The gun store that you were talking about on 4th and Broadway closed a few weeks ago and it was called The Gun Safe. There is Johns Sporting Goods that is on Broadway and they can answer questions about carrying concealed. The class that cgirl was talking about is about 300 last time I checked. That was for everything. One day class and permit and for the sheriffs dept to run a check on you. That is the way I would go if I had all that happen to me. From the way it sounds, whoever is doing this to your neighbors is doing it for personal reasons instead of just doing it for the hell of it. Dunno.

Thanks. I didn't know The Gun Safe closed...that was quick. I'm thinking its personal reasons for the both of us and I have no idea as to why. Other than it was easy for them to get into the first two times and we've let our guard down, obviously, a couple more times after that. As far as Jorge is concerned, it almost has to be personal. Someone either doesn't like Cubans, or new businesses, or something else really stupid. Whoever it is WILL be found out, they always are. Theres no such thing as a smart criminal.

Last year (I think), there was quite a string of break-ins over on west 9th. Turned out to be a kid that lived in the neighborhood. Yeah, he was breaking into his immediate neighbors houses and cars - black, white, Mexican, he didn't discriminate. A couple of college kids caught him breaking into a girlfriend's car, and chased him into Lincoln Park. They found him hiding in the pool (empty), and beat the crap out of him - then called the police. I haven't seen him in a while, maybe he moved a few blocks south.

I talked to someone last night and they told me, "I bet you're going to be surprised when you find out who it is." I really don't want to start looking at my neighbors like they're up to no good but I guess I have to.

And I thought about the possibility of Jorge being Cuban also but thats just ridiculous, it could happen but its just sick. Hell, my last name is Espinosa so they might think I'm Cuban. I just don't think that has anything to do with it.

I have seen more cops trolling around here lately at all hours. She said she'd have them step up patrols in this area and they have. I know that whoever is doing this will slip up and run his/her mouth about what all they've stole or Ill just see it on them.
