New (to us) truck

So we bought this truck. A (former) friend of mine sold me his '92 Chevy S10 for $400. It has 266k miles on it so I knew it needed a little bit of work. Little did I know HOW MUCH work it needed. Whyme

New plugs...hadn't been changed in the year he owned it. Check!
New plug wires..." ". Check!
Oil change...hadn't been changed in the year he owned it. Check!
Oil and air filter..." ". Check!
Replaced fuses.
Got BOTH high beams to work. Helps if you connect BOTH wires. Whyme
Got interior lights to work.
Drained power steering fluid and added new. It was burnt and the pump sounds like its going but I quieted it down a little.
Fixed one of the tires he said had a leak.
Windshield wipers that FIT.
Put tailgate on.
Got the "check engine light" to stop coming on...with the work done on it.
Pulled out unnecessary crap he had in the engine as "mods". Whyme

Now all that's left is a blower motor for the air/heat to work and rewiring a tag light. I did ALL the work myself and it took two days and cost me about $75. Now it's ready for the trek to Hutchinson in a couple weeks. It's hella better on gas than the car. Icon_mrgreen

And I took it to a "real" mechanic today to check my work and he said I did an awesome job and I was good to go. Rock

I think we deserve pics of the fancy new truck so that we know who is stalking all of us.. LOL

Great Job for all the hard work you did.. Definetly more then I would have wanted to do.. I tell Steve, the change oil light is on, I think my tires need air.. I dont mind getting dirty, but I like yard work I leave the cars to him.. Icon_lol
